We are remaining on a DELAYED OPENING SCHEDULE. Please allow for extra travel time to ensure safety. We are thankful to our custodians and DPW for their work in clearing the snow to allow for opening.

Cresskill Schools will be on a delayed opening for Tuesday, January 16th due to the expected snow. Please stay safe and take your time if you need to go out.

Congratulations to Erin Fahy, who just scored her 1000th point for the Cresskill Cougars. We are so proud of her accomplishment as she joins our short list of exceptional athletes to make this accomplishment.

In Cresskill, we believe in giving every student what they need, when they need it. Dr. Amato and Dr. Hughes will be hosting a Virtual Coffee on Tuesday, January 16th at 7 PM. This parent night will discuss the many programs in place to help when children struggle or face life challenges. The high school parking lot is clear and we should have a normal opening after the delay. The Tenakill has receeded.

Thanks to an amazing effort of our custodial crew and their management of the water, we will be ready to welcome our students back after the delayed opening. The parking lots are clear of water. Have a safe trip this morning.

Due to the expected rain tomorrow and the Governor calling a State of Emergency, all afterschool activities and athletic events will be canceled tomorrow evening and the buildings will be closed promptly at 4:00 pm. Please stay safe everyone!

There is the potential for heavy rains tomorrow evening that we are monitoring closely. We have upgraded our flood barriers to stay in place 24/7. This new configuration ensures our building is protected at all major ventilation points. However, front parking lot flooding that restricts access is a continuous challenge and may cause delays or even closures. Please know that if it becomes evident that the Tenakill will flood its banks, we will notify you as early as possible.

We are so excited to celebrate our great high school music students this evening. They have worked hard to put together an amazing event.

Cresskill Middle and High School will be closed for Monday, December 18th due to flooding of the front parking lot. The building remains unaffected. The elementary schools will remain on a delayed opening schedule and follow the delayed opening schedule.

Please be advised that we are constructing the flood barriers to protect the building out of a preponderance of caution for the anticipated rain tomorrow.

Kindergarten registration for the 2024-2025 school year will be held at Edward H. Bryan School on February 1st & 2nd, 2024 (inclement weather days February 8th & 9th) from 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM. Children must be 5 years of age on or before October 1, 2024 to enter Kindergarten in September 2024. Come celebrate the retirement of Denise Villani and Mary Klein from the BOE at the upcoming meeting on December 11th at 6:30 pm in the high school student center. Between the two of them, they put in 27 years of service to benefit the children of Cresskill.

This is just a reminder that we are hosting our second Strategic Planning Meeting at LG North American Headquarters from 7-9 PM tonight. We are looking for students, staff, residents, parents, and community members that want to help plan the innovation and learning for our next five years. All are invited to 111 Sylvan Way in Englewood Cliffs to sign up to participate on committees and to view LG's Innovative Learning Labs.
